The Water Thomas!!

Brandon asked santa for only 2 items...one being a McQueen flashlight and the other a water Thomas. We are sure glad that santa knows what he means by his descriptions, last year he asked for "the walking game" santa figured that out too....Monopoly. That santa is pretty smart!

Anywho.....this year the water thomas was what he wanted. So santa got it and after about an hour of Andy fighting to put it together it was done. Brandon played with it for about 10 min and then he wanted to put it away. We knew that would happen, but what can you do. Since then he has found ways of enjoying it for a little longer. Of course we haven't taken it apart, we are hoping to find somewhere we can just move it to without having to take it apart. So far no luck. Here is what the infamous water thomas does. The video is a little long but not too bad. I hope you enjoy :0)......

Nevermind I can't get the video to load. Maybe I will try later. If not then I guess you all get to miss out on the wonderful video.

Tyler's Christmas Outfit...Well Kind of!

We bought these little onsies before Tyler made his apperance into this world. I thought they were way cute. I will have to take a picture of him wearing them one day when he does. He wore one yesterday but only for the dinner at the neighbors, and he wore the other one this morning but he had a blowout in it so I will have to take the pics next time i put them on. But these pictures will have to do for now. Sorry about the quality, I am still working on the settings on my camera.

Merry Chirstmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We are enjoying our Christmas and I hope you are all doing the same. It started last night for us, our neighbors invited us over for dinner. That was fun because Brandon has a really good friend over there so they got to play hard enough that they got tired. When we got home from there Andy helped Brandon write a letter to santa and set out cookies, while I once again fed Tyler and started the bedtime process. After that Brandon went to bed without any problems (which he usually does anyway). When Brandon woke up at around 8, I was you guessed it-feeding Tyler and Andy was outside in his shed. Brandon came sneeking into my room and with a glow on his face said..."Santa came and he left me a letter back!" So he came and sat next to me and we read it, then I told him to scream outside for daddy to tell him about the letter. So, after the feeding of the baby, we ripped into the presents. Brandon was pretty excited to see all of the presents santa had left him...so was Tyler, you just can't tell. :0)

The boys and their delivery from santa.

Tyler opening his first Christmas present...with a little help from daddy.

Brandon and his McQueen flashlight.

Tyler with his gift from his big brother Brandon.

The Major Haul...

So now that the excitment of present opening is over...this is what the spoiled little boys got from the parents and santa. Brandon I would say made a pretty good haul, so did Tyler. For only being 3 1/2 weeks old he sure did get a lot of stuff. The first picture is Tyler's (minus 2 packs of diapers and a box of wipes), mainly clothes..because they are just so cute and fun to buy. He did get the baby food and bottles he asked santa for...according to Brandon.
The last two pictures are all Brandon, one would guess that he likes McQueen. I would say about 1/2 of his presents have McQueen on them. He was way excited to see that santa brought him the two things he asked for....a water thomas and McQueen flashlight.
As for Andy and I....Andy recieved a woodworking book from me and I recieved a coffee table that he made, it isn't finished yet but it will be really nice when it is. Maybe I should have given him his present early so he would have the right measurements, the one he made is a little too tall so he has to cut it down. I will take a picture of it now and when it is finished. We decided to spoil the boys instead of ourselves this year.

More Fun Pics

The boys in the bathtub. Please forgive the camera strap in the picture, I was taking the picture fast so Tyler wouldn't drink the water :)

My little Hoodrat! Yo Yo Whatup?

One of the best presents ever!!

The brothers just hangin' out.

What a difference 4 months makes....

This is a picture of Tyler and Kyle (Andy's brothers 4 month old) taken at the Hansen family party over the weekend. I can't believe how different they are in size. I think they grow up WAY TOO FAST! Of course I think that Kyle is a little big for his age, I would say he looks 6 months old, but he is dang cute! I wish Tyler would stay that little forever but I know that can't happen.

Some Cute Pics of Boys!

We pulled the camera out today because I was trying to catch Tyler smileing, and of course Brandon had to take some. I decided to let him try to get the smile, that didn't work so I thought what a good time to try to find some cute posses for our "extremely late" Christmas cards. So I took the boys and proped them up on my bed and this is what we got.

Do you think they look alike?

Just Tyler, doing what he does best...being cute!

I think this one might work once I get them in the right clothes.

Just when you think it couldn't get worse!

I bet you can't guess what lovely adventures the Hadlock family are on right now....Well, last night I went down to the bowling alley to show off our cute little baby brother, and when we got home our house was very cold. I looked at the thermostat and it was set at 70 but the reading was closer to 60! You guessed it our furnance had died. I told Andy I thought our pilot light had gone out, he then informed me that we don't have a pilot light. So, he takes his trusty tools down to the basement and tries to fix it, well, not so lucky. He brings up a little part in his hand and says, "Well, I know this part is broken because I broke it." So he calls up a repair man and asks him if he has the part, he did and so andy went and picked it up so we could avoid the service call charge. Put it in and still nothing. So once again, Andy calls the repairman up and he comes over at about 11:30 last night. I was in our room fighting with Tyler so I don't even know what happened. I was asleep when Andy comes to bed. Needless to say, Andy had recieved a Christmas bonus from his boss on Tuesday and we were excited that we were going to be able to finish up Christmas, well now his bonus is going to fix the furnace. Thanks to Andy's boss for providing the money so we could fix it. :) All is well now, I guess there was a broken part but the guy didn't have it on his truck so he "bypassed" it just to get it working and he will bring it back either today or tomorrow to fix it right. Tyler got to sleep with me for the first half of the night so I could keep him warm. Don't tell Brandon, he never got to sleep with me, he will be jealous. Until next time, when we have more adventures to report.
As far as the house and car, still nothing of progress. I will have to write about the new developments in the car saga when I have more time. Love you all!

The Littlest Snowman.....

My sister came up on Sunday to see Tyler and to bring some entertainment for Brandon, he just loves Aspen! We finally got some snow and Brandon really wanted to build a snowman so I asked Ang to have Aspen bring her snow clothes so she could help Brandon build one. So we sent the kids outside and this is their finished product. I dont think I have ever seen a snowman that small before. It is shorter than Brandon! It is way cute though and Brandon loves it, thanks Aspen for helping him with it! We had to save one of our baby carrots from dinner for the nose and they couldn't find any rocks for eyes so they used red gummy bears, so we call it the little devil snowman.

The Monster Cookie!

So on Saturday we (Brandon and I) decided to make some cookies and take them to the people who had brought us dinner during the week. Well, Brandon thought he could help me put the cookies on the pan, he did a pretty good job if you want little quarter sized cookies or a really big one. I decided instead of "fixing" his masterpiece I would just go ahead and cook it. They turned out okay, they burned because they were so small, but the big one he was able to enjoy. The picture of me had to be taken because I had taken one of him so he had to take one of me and my cookies. Andy was pretty jealous because Brandon got a cookie and he didn't so the next day I had to make Andy some cookies too. :)

"I make a pretty mean cookie!" "Tasty too!"

The masterpiece before we cooked it. Lovely! :)

Bath time!

Another very important duty as a big brother is giving the baby brother a bath. Brandon loves to help me with bath time. He did really good not to get his bellybutton wet until the cord could fall off. Now that it is off he like to give baths even more. He has progressed from just washing him off to actually washing his head with shampoo and helping me make sure I get all of his body parts, "Just like me" he says. We have to check with him when he is in the bath to make sure he gets all of his parts. :)
Brandon is such a great big brother. We (I) am starting to adjust to having 2 kids. It is still hard sometimes because Tyler still requires a lot of attention (AKA feedings), during which Brandon does whatever he wants and I can't do a thing about it. But he is a pretty good kid, but sometimes he does some crazy things.

The House Saga Continues!

Well, a lot of people have been asking about the status of the new house.....Well, we still don't have a clue as to when we might be moving. It is starting to get a little frustrating, okay a lot frustrating! We had the guy who is wanting to buy our house stop by a week ago and say that he was still working on getting his financing in line and was working on a way to possibly do what is called a lease option so we could move on to our new house. Well, you have to have so much equity in your house to be able to do that and we don't. Andy had already talked to our mortgage lender about that option at the begining of this whole process, so we already knew it wasn't an option. So here we sit waiting once again for this guy to try to figure something else out. The neighbors up the street are in the same boat as us but they do have enough equity to do the lease option so I think they are closing on Monday on both of their houses. I hope they do, they are stressed out too.
As far as us.....we might end up loosing the house we were wanting to move into anyway. I don't think that would be that bad. Who knows we might be able to find something else once our house actually closes. We thought that finding a house would speed up the process but I don't think it maked a difference. Plus, Andy is offically laid off as of this week so we probably won't qualify for it anymore too. They say that won't matter where he is just on a "seasonal layoff". But we will see. Until, next time!!

The Christmas Tree......

We don't know what is going on with the moving situation and we didn't want to have to move a tree, but we decided to go and get one anyway. So Brandon took us out to the tree picking place and this is the one he chose. Not the most pretty of trees but it is special because Brandon not only picked it out but decorated it too. Daddy helped with the lights but he did the rest by himself. I don't think we will get around to doing any other decorations but we got a tree up which is a big accomplishment for us. If it wasn't for Brandon and wanting to go chop down our own tree, we might not of gotten one.

Some Cute Pics!

Me not so cute, Tyler on the other hand....way cute!

The EXTREMELY proud brother showing Tyler off.

I thought this one was cute. He looks like a big stuffed bear too. The bear was given to Brandon from the nurse at the hospital, and the hippo was given to Tyler from Big Brother Brandon.

This is the outfit he wore today. I think it is way cute so I took some pictures of it.

Update....pictures to follow....

So I have decided to update, but I don't want to deal with picking out pictures right now. As you have read, we were able to welcome the long awaited Tyler James Hadlock into our family on Tuesday at 4:25 pm. Here is how it all went down.........

We called into the hospital at 6:00 in the morning and they said to be there at 7:15 so I got up took a shower and got Brandon ready and took him to the neighbors and we were off. We got there and they officially started the lovely drug Pitocin at 8:30ish and we were on our way, so I thought.....My doctor came in at 1:15 and said I was still at a 3 1/2, that was frustrating! So he broke my water and then the labor that I remember kicked in. At 2:30 they checked me and I was at a 5 and I was also done, so we called in "Dr. Feelgood" as Andy likes to call him. Kudos to all of you women out there who don't need him, but lets be honest.....once you have had it you can't go back. ANYWAY!!!! At 4:00 the nurse came in and asked me if I could feel that he had dropped, I told her that I couldn't, she said maybe you aren't as ready as I think. So she checked and she said oh yes you are. She said lets practice some pushes, I said okay and so we did three pushes and she said okay wait a minute we better call the doctor up. So, in comes the doctor and we started pushing at 4:25 the baby was out. Not bad considering last time I had to push for 3 hours! I was suprised by how fast it went once my water was broke.

We were able to come home yesterday at 4:00. Since then I have had to adjust to having 2. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I just don't have enough attention to give and my poor Big Brother Brandon is suffering for attention. Luckly my mom is here to provide some to him. But she is leaving tomorrow and it will be all up to me. Wish me luck! Tyler and I are doing just fine, he is a little jaundice so we have to take him to the hospital to get a lab test everyday and I have to take him to the doctor on Monday for a check-up. So far they haven't had me do anything for it, like a lightbed or sunlight. But maybe if he isn't better by Monday then they will send one home with us.

Well, that is all I have for now. I will do some more posting later with pics. But I wanted to let everyone know how things (AKA the labor) went. Love you all! Until next time!

Introducing Tyler James Hadlock. He was born on Dec 2, 2008 at 4:25 pm. He weighs 8 lbs 3 oz and is 21 1/2 inches tall. His mommy and him are doing very well and, if all goes well, are expected to be released from the hospital on Dec 4 sometime in the morning. Tyler is a very happy and healthy baby boy and has easily won the hearts of his Mommy, Daddy, and adoring older brother Brandon. I hope you enjoy these pictures for now and as soon as Jen is at home and feeling up to it I will have her give you all a more thorough update including more pictures.

Let's Do This!!!

That is right folks. Andy came into my room about 15 min ago and said they are ready for me. I am a little freaked out, but excited at the same time. I need to be there at 7:15 to be induced. But I wanted to let all of you know just in case I forget to text someone and then I can say, "You should check my blog" :) Until next time, when I have 2 CHILDREN instead of 1 CHILD!!!

Brandon Is A Cutie!

So Brandon has for the last week or so been asking me to get on to the "baby page" and see how many days we have left. Well, yesterday we got on and he was so excited to see that we only had 1 day left. This morning he was a little upset when I told him he had to go to daycare, he wanted to come to my dr appointment with me to get the baby out. Well, he was even more disappointed when he found out we didn't get our baby today. He made me go onto the blog and change it to say 1 day again because it had gone down to 0 days and we don't have our baby. You may be asking yourself, why. Well, it was because doctors don't like to work on holidays so they didn't want to start anyone last weekend, so they all got bumped to today. Well, my doctor tried to get me on today and the hospital said they didn't have any room for little ole me, so guess who has to wait until tomorrow. That is right me and of course the excited big brother Brandon. I have to call at 6:00 in the morning to see if they have any beds and if they don't then I get to call about every 2 hours to see if they have one yet. I hope they get me in early so maybe I can have him before it gets too late into the day. My doctor did strip my membrains today to see if I might possibly be able to get things started by myself, he is also on call tonight so he said if I show up he wouldn't turn me away, but I have to be having consistant contractions to qualify. Keep you all posted, don't hate me if it takes me a minute to post any new information. I will do my best.
