Boulion and "Porn Juice"

Do I have you wondering "What the Heck!?" Well, it has a story behind it....On two separate occasions, Brandon is wishing he listened to his mother and not his father.
Day #1-Brandon was getting himself some candy from the cupboard and came into the living room with a nice golden wrapped chicken boulion cube, I informed him that it wasn't candy, he argued with me about it for a while about it, so I told him to go ask his father. Andy being the mean dad he is told him it was a yummy piece of candy, so we had to break out the camera to get pictures of this. So Brandon unwrapped the gold wrapper and was so excited so he takes a bite and soon after realized that once again mommy was right. He actually swallowed it, I thought for sure he would spit it out. All he did was ask for a drink of water, I told him I could get him a cup of hot water and he could have chicken broth for lunch. He didn't think that was so funny.

Day #2-Tyler has been "plugged" for a little while so we are trying to figure him out so Andy went and got him some prune juice and we gave him some. At the same time Brandon was having lunch. He so nicely asked for a drink and I gave him the options we had, you know the usual milk, water, koolaid. He insisted that he had some porn juice AKA prune juice. I told him that he really didnt want it, but again started arguing with me. I decide we could once again to use this as a "teaching opportunity" We all know that teaching opportunity=camera time! So the following is a picture of Brandon's opinion of "porn juice".

I almost forgot...

These are the birthday balloons that we gave Andy for his birthday. As you can see I couldn't get them away from Brandon but I did get him to hold still long enough to snap a couple pics of them. I tell you...who knew that 3 little balloons could entertain a 4 year old for a couple weeks. They were pretty good at entertaining my friends little boys too. Next time I think of buying toys, I am going to the dollar store and buying some balloons.

More Improvements to House!

Another room we decided to do something with was the kitchen. The walls used to be white and the cupboard doors were too, we decided to add some color to our world. The flooring is pretty cool according to Brandon, he likes to put his church socks on and twirl and slide on it. It is pretty funny to watch because it is so slick that he falls on his rump a lot!

This picture reminds me as to why we have doors on our cupboards. Ha Ha!

The finished floor with the bottom doors back on.

We added the black trim on the cabinet doors.

Hello Safari!

We got Tyler's border up today. I was so excited to put it up. It is way cute...don't you think? Now tomorrow we need to just go get his bed and whatnot out of storage so he has a place to call his own. That will make me more happy then him I am sure. It is hard having him in my room. He is a very loud sleeper.

It is definetly a big change from bright orange and bugs.

The CARS decorations FINALLY!

So we came home from Salt Lake today and Brandon wanted to put his cars stickers up, so we did. He was way excited to help. Andy and I put the big McQueen up and then Brandon grabbed the other stickers and went crazy. Hence the randomness of the placement of the little stickers. We tried to fix them but then I just gave up and figured it was his room, he can do what he must. Andy says we angled the big McQueen wrong but we couldn't take it, fear the paint might come off too. I told him it shouldn't but we agreed we wouldn't take the chance. Thanks againg to cousin Jeremy for making it for him.

It looks like the car is heading straight for Brandon in bed. Thanks to Grandpa and the Grandpa store for the McQueen clock.

Say bye bye to the bugs!

That is right people, we are doing Tyler's room! Finally! The deadline for the contract on the new house expired on Friday. The guy who wants to buy our house didn't even call us, we had to call him yesterday, what a putz! Anyway, Andy went and met with him yesterday afternoon and he wanted us to extend it again for 30 days, the crazy part is, he wanted us to come up with $1500 more dollars for earnest money. Andy, in a very nice way, told him that we were not interested. He can buy our house but he needs to come when he has the money and not before. So we lost the new house, we are upset about that. We won't be able to get into a house for a while now with Andy being laidoff, it kind of messes up things. Oh well! Apartment City here we come, but not until we sell this house.
To make a long story short...I know too late :)....we have decided it is time to move on with our lives and get Tyler in his room. Because if we go to an apartment I won't be able to decorate the walls anyway, so I might as well enjoy the decorations while I can. Right? Thus meaning the bugs that have been in Brandon's room since he was born are going bye bye. Don't worry it will be cute when we are done. Brandon was a little upset, but then he got over it when we told him we are going to put his CARS stickers up too.
These pics don't show the bugs very well I will have to take another one closer so you all can see before and after. Andy says it should be painted by today, we shall see. He has some holes he needs to patch in the walls first, so he might have to wait until tomorrow to paint when it dries.

Happy Birthday Honey!

Happy Birthday Andy! I hope you had a wonderful day. I am a day late putting it on here, but we had so much fun yesterday I didn't have time to update yesterday. Brandon decided that we needed to make Andy a spiderman cake, that is after we couldn't find a Monsters Inc. cake at Maceys. So Andy actually baked his own cake when he woke up at who knows what time, then Brandon and I went out and got the frosting dye and we came home and decorated it. We also had to buy him some balloons. I will get a picture of them posted as soon as I get one, if Brandon will stop playing with them long enough for me to get one. Brandon also said we needed to invite someone over to eat the cake so I called our friends from Pocatello and they came down to join us in the tiny celebration we did. I told Andy to watch out, he is only 4 years away from being really old, according to Brandon. :) We love you!

We had to sing, even though he really didn't want to. I think it made him sad to see the 30 on the cake.

The Blog Update

So you may have noticed the changes to my blog page, I would like to let you know that I had nothing to do with it. My cousin Staci called me up the other day and asked if she could play with my blog and the layout. I said sure since I have no idea how to do any of the bloging stuff. I have been wanting to figure out a few of the things that I have seen out there but now I don't need to because she did it for me. So if you don't like it then you can blame it on her, if you like it then of course I had everything to do with it. :)
When we get together for the blessing she will hopefully teach me how to do it, then I can do what I need to to keep up with the bloging trends.

A day in the snow

Andy and Brandon had the opportunity to go snowmobilling with the neighbor and their little boy on Saturday. They had a lot of fun. What did I do, you might be wondering...no nap was taken by me, but I did get to scrapbook while Tyler took one. Brandon said they didn't go very fast, but I bet they did. They were only able to get one of the 2 started so they had to take turns according to Brandon. Here are a few pics...enjoy!

Brandon and Lance on the snowmobile, I hope he knows how to drive that thing! :0)

Andy and the 2 boys.

Javier and the boys.

And of course you can't go to the mountains and all of that snow and not go sledding.

Ready to go to work!

Brandon's grandma Hadlock gave him a Lil' Helper Carpenter Tool Kit. He decided to pull it out today so daddy and him could work on a project together. So they took out all the peices, all 20 of them, and put them in his snazzy toolbelt. We had to put on the suspenders too. It made him look all ready to go to work with daddy. Thanks grandma Jeannine! He really love it.

From the mouths of babes!

We were sitting in sacrament today, it was fast Sunday as you all know, kind of slow and boring for a 5 year old and most other kids. Anywho, we were sitting there in silence and all of a sudden Brandon looks at me with the quizative look he gets and I ask him "What's up bud?" He proceeds to ask me, "How old is Jesus, since he just had his birthday on Christmas?" I say "He is really old." Brandon then thinks for a minute and says, "So he is 34!" I started laughing and said, "No He is really, really old." Once again he takes a minute to think and says," Fifty hundred and fifty-one?" :0)

The things that he comes up with sometimes...helps me realize how lucky I am to have him in my life. It definetly would not be the same without him. I must apoligize to all of you readers who are older than really old "34", but hey at least you aren't really, really old yet. That is a plus!

The Best Gift Ever!

So here is the long awaited video. I hope you all enjoy! By the way hasn't been played with for about a week now. But we can't take it down....he is going to play with it. :0)

He calls it the water Thomas because the blue portion is water and the box makes it look like Thomas is going through water.
