A better bike movie......

The stuff that makes you think.....

I would like to give a shout out to Traci and her husband Dan. They are one of the ones at work that were having a baby around the same time I am due. Well, they had their baby this morning. I wish them the best with this very scary time in their life. It definetly got me thinking considering she was due a week before me. I wish there was something I could do for them. I am sure that they just want to be left alone to deal with all of it. And I am sure that they are still in shock that this is even all happening. If you wouldn't mind keeping them in your prayers, I am sure they would appreciate that even if we can't do anything else. If anyone has been through anything like this and could let me know if there is anything that would help them out, please let me know.

Conquering Everest!

So for any of you who don't know.....Brandon broke his arm falling off of his bike about 11 months ago. Since then he has been very scared to ride his bike. Mostly because everytime he did he fell off it, even with the training wheels on. Well, about a month or so ago we decided that we should try it without the training wheels. He wanted nothing to do with it, and he cried over it for about 30 minutes. We convienced him to give it a try and of course he fell off. We made a deal with him that if he learned to ride his bike we would take him to the Celebration Centre, a local theme park. So with so many things going on in our house teaching him kind of fell to the wayside. So this last week I took him over to the chuch started him out and let him go. After a few failed attempts and some minor coaching he has learned to ride his bike. At least in a really large parking lot, he isn't so steady on sidewalks yet but I am sure they will come. Here is a clip of my big boy conquering his everest. You can see how excited he is to be able to finally ride his bike. Today after I got home from work we went to the church again and he just rode around for about an hour and was upset when I told him it was time to go home. Next he needs to learn to start out by himself and he will be good to go. Oh and how to stop without crashing! :)

Baby Update......

So I had a doctor appointment today. I had to take my lovely glucose test. YUCK!! I really am not a big fan. When I was pregnant with Brandon I had to take it 3 times! I am really hoping that I passed the first time this time. I really don't want to spend 4 hours at the hospital getting my blood drawn every hour. It isn't my idea of a good time.

So the doctor says I am measuring big. But really what does that mean? Not much. The heartbeat was strong and really loud. I think he was hanging out towards the front of my stomach this time. I have another appointment in 3 weeks and then I start every other week! Know what that means.......we are getting closer! Not that I am counting or anything. :)

Also today Brandon and I went shopping for decor for both rooms. Brandon has decided he wants a CARS room. I have the decided the baby gets a jungle themed room. I found the wallpaper border online and got that ordered last night. It is dang cute!!! I can hardly wait to get it. I will take pictures when it is all done and ready to go. We bought the new bedding for Brandon and got some wall clings. Brandon can hardly wait to be able to decorate his room. He is pushing Andy to get my closet done so we can move onto his room. Thank goodness he is here to push him along, who knows how long it would take otherwise. :) He says this weekend it will be done. We will see.

We still haven't decided on a name. I think we never will. It will probably be like Brandon and we will decide as we are buckling him in the carseat to come home from the hospital. I hope we can come up with something. I was hoping since we found out what we were having we would be able to at least go to the hospital with some ideas. I guess we have decided his middle name will be James. I guess that is one step closer. I really want Payton, so I keep working on it, so far it is a losing battle for me. Maybe I can get him to promise me if we ever have a girl then I can use it then (Peighton). Brandon has mentioned he wants the name Dylan, he comes home with names often. I think it is the name of the child he happens to be playing with that day. But hey at least he is trying. I am sure we won't have anything decided until we actually see him. Maybe Brandon 2!

Construction Zone!

So I don't know how many of you know that Andy is re-doing the closet in our bedroom. We had a really small closet so Andy had all of his clothes in the extra bedroom closet. Well, with another little blessing coming he is getting kicked out of there. So we decided to make a bigger closet in our room so he can move his clothes into our room. Well, progress is moving along with a little help from Brandon. He really likes to do what daddy is doing, Andy needs a little help with that sometimes. He decided that Brandon could mud on the inside of the closet while he mudded the outside. We took some pictures of the lovely job he was doing. I can't believe how grown up he is. Did I mention that my house is covered in sheetrock dust! It is amazing that I could find my computer to type this up! Oh well it will be very nice when it is all done. Then we get to move on to redo both bedrooms for the boys!

Fishing with Grandpa!

The waiting game known as fishing. We found out also over Labor Day weekend that my son is like me when it comes to fishing. He isn't paitent enough for it. We weren't there for very long and he started asking when he was going to catch a fish. Well, about 20 min later of constant asking my sister caught one. So he thought his was coming soon. Not so lucky! He did have a few nibbles on his line but no "fishies were biting his little hook". So we waited somemore and then pappa called over to Brandon and said I've got one! So Brandon went over to him and helped him reel his in. Well, once it got to shore he wasn't so excited about the wiggly, slimmy, little fish. But I was able to get him to hold on to the pole while we snapped a quick picture. After that he was done he had got his fish. So needless to day I don't see him bugging me to take him fishing anytime soon. Maybe grandpa will take him again someday when he gets more patient with the whole thing.

A Milestone for Jen!

So for those of you who know me pretty well will know that I hate guns! So this was a HUGE step for me. Yes I know that it is only a BBgun but it is all the same to me. So Angie's kids both have a BBgun and they brought them out to shoot at some cans. Brandon wanted to give it a shot and I decided to let him give it a try. Considering they were only BBguns. He tried to hold the gun by himself but that wasn't working. So I think that everyone tried to help him shoot a can even daddy. He was unsuccessful but he had fun trying anyway. No this does not mean that he will ever own one but maybe I will not be so worried about him shooting at targets one day. He can just borrow theirs.

Taking a bath while camping is fun!

So we went camping over Labor Day, and with camping comes lots and lots of dirt. So I decided to try and clean Brandon before I put his jammies on one day. We did the best we could with a bucket of water in my parents trailer sink. You can notice the water in the last picture, it isn't so clean. Makes you wonder how dirty the boy was before we started this process.

Laugh If You Must!

So this past week I was able to go and relive my high school days. My friend Lisa and I attended a Boyz II Men concert last Thursday. That is right people......I said Boyz II Men. Go on laugh....I will wait........are you done. Good! I just know that you are just jealous so I won't be mad. It was a really good concert. The best thing of all was it only cost me $17.50! Now any of you Boyz II Men fans out there wouldn't have passed that up. Unless of course you are Miranda Holloman who I must say is CRAZY!!! I love you and all, but it was BOYZ II MEN for $17.50!!!!!! We were sitting pretty far back from the stage and it was dark, it was held in an amphatheater in Orem. But I would say that these pictures turned out pretty good. Of course I did make a guy next to me pretty upset while I was trying to get some good ones. He eventually left giving me free rain to do whatever I wanted. You could tell he didn't want to be there so I was glad to see him leave. They were stil as HOT as I remember them. Even if it was 10 years later. Last time I saw them in concert it was the night before I graduated high school.

The Belly......

There has been many requests to show everyone my belly. So here are some pictures. I don't feel "cute pregnant" yet. I am hoping it comes soon. There are 2 other girls at my work that are due within two weeks of me and they are "cute pregnant" already. But as I like to say I have creases that need to fill in first before I can be "cute". Did I mention that these pictures were taken by Brandon. Not too shabby for a 4 year old. He said he wanted to take some pictures of the baby so I decided it was a good time to post them. By the way we are under 100 days to go!!! Not that we are counting! :)
