Super Brandon!

As part of his running around the house he decided to put his headband that he got from primary today and his "little blankie" as a cape and run around the house calling himself the super pumpkin cutter. I tell you the things this kid comes up with makes me laugh. He sure does make a cute superhero, don't you think? I wish there was a way that I could bottle up some of his energy and drink it. Anywho, I really need to go catch him and make him lay down, it is way past the super pumpkin cutter's bedtime. 7:30 comes pretty early even for a superhero. :)

Update (night)....

We (by we I mean Andy) were able to get the walls complete and the bed moved in. I had already put his sheets on his bed, but yesterday I found these CARS jammies, and of course he had to wear them for his first night in his CARS room. It isn't really a CARS room yet, we do have some wall clings that we are going to be putting up sometime this week, and then it will be a CARS room. He was soooooo excited to finally be in his room that we needed to take him for a walk to calm him down before bed, he was running crazy around the house. I will post somemore pics when we get everything officially done. We have to go to IKEA this coming weekend to see if we can find a dresser for him and then we will be done. Meanwhile, Andy is moving onto the next room. I am in charge of decorating he is in charge of painting. Not a bad deal if you ask me, I get the fun part.

Update on rooms (morning)......

We have plans to move Brandon into his room sometime this weekend, here it is Sunday morning and he is yet to do so. But we are getting closer. We would have moved him last night but Andy saw some places that needed to be "touched up" well, that ended up making things look a lot worse. So we had to go get another gallon of paint and he is currently adding another coat. While we were at Home Depot getting the paint we decided to grab another gallon for the baby's room "just in case" :) Hopefully by tonight we will have Brandon moved into his new room, well, at least his bed. We have yet to find a dresser for him, and I don't think we will have his closet quite done by tonight so maybe sometime this week. I will be sure to keep you updated.

Pumpkin Walk 2008

Brandon and I invited a couple of our friends to go to the North Logan pumpkin walk on Friday. We went last year and it was really fun for us. We invited Lance and Caden and their moms to come with us. This year there wasn't as many fun ones to take pictures of but we still had fun. The best display was the Noah's Ark. It was really cool. There was one that had a waterfall coming out of one of the pumpkins (Picture to follow) that was was cool too. At the end of the walk they have a witch that gives out cookies and they have pictures made out of cereal. Brandon loves Monsters Inc. so he was really excited to see the Mike Wygowski (however you spell it) picture. There was also a Scooby-Doo picture which he also likes because he is going to be him for Halloween.

The waterfull pumpkin, sorry my shadow is in the way, but you get the idea.

The silly boys, they were all dancing to the music to one of the displays. They had a lot of fun together.

Brandon thought the elephant butts were pretty funny!

House Remodeling (ARG!!)

Now I hope you all don't get the wrong impression.....I love my husband! I just wanted to make that clear! :) But when it comes to remodeling a home he drives me crazy!!! We are trying to get things ready for when the baby comes he can have his own little room, which means we had to move Brandon into the other bedroom, formally known as the guest room. WELL, it all started with the need of a bigger closet in our bedroom because Andy had his work clothes in the extra room which now would need to be Brandon's. So, he started building a new closet in our room about 21/2 months ago, about the end of August. He got his brother up here to help and whatnot, but he just got it finished a week and a half ago. When his estimated time was 3 weeks. It took just a weebit longer than that. So now we are about 6 weeks away from my due date and we finally have a closet. Now we are moving on to Brandon's room. We are going onto week 2 with that and we haven't even painted it yet. I was told that it would be painted by this weekend so I could move his toys in while he was in Salt Lake for a party. Because I don't know if any of you have tried to move/get rid of toys while the kid is at home but it isn't pretty. But as you may of guessed.....no paint on the walls as of today. I am trying really hard to be paitent with him, I know that he works really hard during the day and is tired when he gets home, but we are running out of time. Then after we get Brandon's room done we need to move on to the nursery, which also needs to be painted and then we need to get the baby furniture out of storage and put together. I also need to finish the bedding for the crib.
So again I would like to stress that I DO LOVE HIM! I just wish sometimes that we both weren't as lazy as we are, then we might actually get something done around here. I often tell my mother that I don't know how she always had a clean house and dinner and dishes done before she went to bed. She also worked a full time job and I don't know how she did it. I am always just too tired to do anything when I get home. My cousin Staci always has a beautiful home too and she has 3 kids running around. So my Kudos go to both of those ladies, I hope that one day I can have a clean house too! :) Love you both!
Okay I guess that is enough complaining, I am sorry to anyone who might have gotten bored or upset with my rantings.

Baby Update.....

So I had a doctor appointment on Monday. We went over my blood sugar tests and listened to the heartbeat of the little guy. My doctor hasn't officially decided if I have diabeties or not yet so he still wants me to test twice a day. He said there were some of the results that had him worried. Also while we were listening to the heartbeat it kind of dropped for a second. But he didn't seem too worried about it. I do have to get an ultrasound on my next visit so we can check the baby out and see how big he is and if he is being effected by any of this "wonderful" diabeties. I am sure all will be good. Plus, we get to take another look at him and maybe this time we will see his pretty little face. Only time will tell. So not to worry, I am sure we will know A LOT more after my next appointment and the ultrasound, which is on 11/3. So I will keep you all posted.

The 4 hour test (YUCK)

So I posted a blog about a month ago informing you all that I had my lovely glucose test. Well, you guessed it.....I failed. So I went to the hospital and spent 4 hours there while they ran blood tests every hour. Well, guess what that came back high too. So, I was diagnosed with Insulin Intolerance. Which in plain terms is one step down from diabetes. So I met with a dietitian who gave me a blood sugar tester. My doctor wanted me to test my blood sugar two hours after my meals for the next 2 weeks. Well, my 2 weeks is up tomorrow. I really hope he says that I can stop doing that. I don't know how people can poke themselves all the time like that. My major problem was remembering to do so, so we got an egg timer at work and I would set it. Then everyone in the bank at the time it went off knew that it was time for me to go. From what I can see from the results I am fine. There has been a few that have been high but for the most part I seem to be under what they wanted me to be. Doctor appointment tomorrow, so I guess we will see if we are all on the same page. I will let you know what he says tomorrow.

Pumpkin Carving.....

Yesterday my work had a pumpkin carving party. We ate some soup and then we carved some pumpkins. This was Brandon's first experience with carving, we usually just get a pumpkin and "decorate it" somehow either painting or poking things into it. This year I decided to take him to the party. We cut the top off and I told him he needed to take out all of the guts. He looked in and told me to do it. He eventually did it and decided it wasn't so bad after all. So he told me what shapes to do for the face. Then I handed him the carving knife. I have to admit I was a little nervous at first, but he soon figured it out and had a blast cutting it out. When we were fininshed I told him to put the lid back on and he said it was a hat and that it had to be upside down. So he put it on and we took a picture with the "hat" on. When we got home he couldn't wait for it to get dark so he could put a candle in it. We took a picture of that too. Not the best picture but he thought it was pretty cool. Of course that is the only Halloween decor we have up this year. We are doing too much construction for me to want to bring out more stuff and put it up. I am glad that we at least have the pumpkin.

Broncos Game!

So a couple weeks ago Andy and his brothers took his nephew Adam and went to a Denver Broncos game. I wasn't invited to go, due to my condition, as Andy put it. So I am judging from the pics that they had a good time. Meanwhile, me and our sister-in-law stayed home with the remaining 4 kids and scrapbooked all weekend. That was fun too! I got a lot of scrapbooking done which was really nice considering I have another little one coming and will fall majorly behind again.
